Summary:
When Sarah and Jason Masada received an old house from an aunt they never knew existed, they were grateful for the blessing. Until they discovered the curse that came with being part of the Masada family--a full moon. Intent on tracing their lineage, they descend into a world of lies, fear, ancient myths, and death. Indian hunters have tracked them to the family compound, Jason is wanted for murders he doesn’t remember committing, and their new-found family is on a mission to kill them. It seems their only hope for survival is to combine forces with two unlikely allies and trek across the globe to the place where it all began. Maybe there they can find a way to end it.
My Review:
Inheritance starts off with heartpounding action. This book starts out with us meeting Sarah and Jason. Sarah is convinced her brother is crazy because he tells her he is a monster. Sarah learns first hand that night that her brother is a werewolf. They decide to start looking for clues about their family and learn they come from a line of werewolves.I loved Sarah because of her strength and lovefor her brother Jason. Jason is so protective and will do anything to keep her safe. I love to see amazing brother and sister bounds because it shows how much family really is important. Jason and Sarah meet Thomas who becomes like an uncle figure to them and takes them under his wing. Thomas is a great loyal family member to have and is an all around stand up guy. Sarah is in town one day and meets Shad. Oh where do I begin with Shad. He sounds so dreamy and has the whole mysterious stranger vibe down. I love Sarah and Shad as a couple and can't wait to see what happens with them. Jason falls for Shad's sister Ashley who is such a loveable character. The story continues and they are all lead to meeting Brogan another great character.Brogan tells them that something huge is coming that they need to be prepared for. I loved this book overall. It hasd a great premise and great flow. I really got into the characters of Sarah and Jason and had to keep reading to see what would happen next. I can't wait to read the next book.

My Review:
Where do I begin? First off let me say Im a sucker for a pretty cover and this one didnt't dissappoint it was so beautiful.I dont't think words can express how much I loved this book. It had everything you could want in a book. This book starts out with us jumping right into the action with the main character Lauren getting shot. Lauren is my kind of herione. She is kick butt and you instantly fall in love with her. She is so courageous and has amazing instincts. Lauren's getting shot sends her to the hospital and we are introducted to Max who is the paramedic taking care of her on the way. Let me say that Max would be the kind of paramedic I would love to have if I needed one. Max is a great leading man for this story he is loyal, protective and not to mention cute. He is the type of guy everyone instantly falls in love with and Lauren does just that. Lauren and Maz continue into a relationship that is so sweet and refreshing. It is always great to see couples that compliment each other and they are really made for each other. The instalove for them feels so much like love as first sight and is amazing. The book continues with us learning more about Lauren and Max's pull towards each other and them getting to learn more about each other. Lauren also learns more about herself along the way and really comes into her own. There are some events that play out then Lauren and Max are heading on a trip together to spend more time together. Now this is the part you have to brace yourself for because OMG the first thoughts I had were HOLY CLIFFHANGER!!!. The cliffhanger in this book is so unexpected that I have to read the next book. Overall this book gives you a thriller and romance all rolled into one and being set in my hometown was an added bonus too.
Thanks to the ladies at Making Connections Group and the author for a chance to review this book.

Fallen In Love Review
Fallen in Love by Lauren KateMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Published: January 24th,2012
Publisher:Delacorte Books
Source:Hollow Readers Review Book
Goodreads Summary:
Unexpected. Unrequited. Forbidden. Eternal. Everyone has their own love story.
And in a twist of fate, four extraordinary love stories combine over the course of a romantic Valentine's Day in Medieval England. Miles and Shelby find love where they least expect it. Roland learns a painful lesson about finding-and losing love. Arianne pays the price for a love so fierce it burns. And for the first -and last- time, Daniel and Luce will spend a night together like none other.
Lauren Kate's FALLEN IN LOVE is filled with love stories, the ones everyone has been waiting for.
True love never says goodbye...
My Review:
I absolutely love angel stories and love Daniel and Luce's story. This book is a collection of stories that give a little more background with the characters. This book was a great read for me with Valentine's day having been last week. I love heartfelt love stories and this one didn't dissapoint. This book gave you a story with all the characters we love from the Fallen series. We get apperances and stories centered around Daniel and Luce,Roland,Arriane, and Shelby and Miles. The backdrop for this story is the Middle Ages of England. It serves as the perfect spot for romance. Romance is plentiful in this book. We get to see all the sweet exchanges and interactions that leads up to sweet Daniel and Luce Valentine'sday interaction. It was great to see everyone interacting seperatly and away from Luce and Daniel like they normally do. The author did a great job with keeping all the stories seperate but tying them into thegrand scheme of things which is of course Daniel and Luce. It is amazing how much their friends are willinging to help them in anyway. Overall this was a great book and I loved seeing all the angels like always.
Thanks to Jess at for this ebook for review.

A Tale of Two Proms Review
A Tale of Two Proms by Cara LockwoodMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Published: December 13,2011
Publisher:Self Published
Source: Via Publisher through Netgalley
Goodreads Summary:
It was the best of prom, it was the worst of prom.
Miranda Tate returns for her senior year at Bard Academy and she is counting on two things: Prom with her boyfriend, Heathcliff, and then graduation from the haunted boarding school where fictional characters come to life. Fate, however, has other plans.
When Catherine Earnshaw, Heathcliff's long-lost love, appears on campus, suddenly everything she thought she knew about Heathcliff is changed forever. Catherine seems determined to win Heathcliff back, even if that means destroying Bard Academy and banishing its ghostly teachers - for good.
Miranda and her friends face their most daunting challenge, yet, which will take them for the first time inside the classics that have powered their mysterious boarding school. It's up to them to save Bard Academy - and prom. Can Miranda change her destiny and Heathcliff's? Or is this one story that was written in the stars?
My Review:
Let me start off by saying I have never read any of the books in this series but will defintely have to. I loved this book and am glad that I was able to read it without reading the others. This book has a really cool premise. Bard Academy is a school on a seculded island with ghosts for teachers. The twist is that the ghosts are some of the liteary greats. As if that doesn't make it different enough fictional characters from the books are brought to life. In this book we get to hae more of Miranda and her boyfriend Heathcliff (yes that Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights) and prerparing for prom. I have to say I love Miranda. She is my favorite type of heroine,. I love that she isn't afraid of danger and will risk it all for her friends. This book was great in that I loved reading and figuring out which teachers were which literay greats. I loved reading and seeing Heathcliff fleshed out in another book as Wuthering Heights is one of my all time favorite books. Overall I loved this book and will have to go back and read the others in the series.

Easter's Lilly Blog Tour Stop
Thanks for stopping by to check out my stop on the Easter's Lilly Blog Tour.
Author: Judy Serrano
Published:December 16,2010
Publisher: Black Rose Writing
Source: Ebook for Blog Tour
Goodreads Summary:
It was Easter Sunday; the day Lilly's life went from safe and comfortable to dangerously unfamiliar. Her transformation takes her from a small town girl having an affair with a low ranked gangster in the Montiago crime syndicate, to a woman of grace and fortitude married to the head of the organization.Easter's Lilly is an inspired journey from the idyllic to the darker side of self-discovery. Read as the over-privileged brothers embark on their journey that twists and turns down the road of unbridled passion in this first book of the series.
My review:
I started out reading this book and thought I had missed some pages. The relationship with Lilly and Johnny just seemed so quick. There was no build up to their relationship and it just seemed they jumped into it. I also didn't like Lilly at first because she just seemed so clingy and too easy going. She started to grow on me though and I feel in love with her and wanted to keep reading to see her story play out. I personally couldn't stand Deigo and all but feel in love with Max and Hector. While I didn't care for Diego with his relationship with Lilly I loved him interacting with his brothers. Their relationship was great to see even with all the flaws they have. They really had a true love/hate relationship. I loved to see how how much Max really cared for Lilly and took care of her from the beginning and I can't wait to see their relationship grow. On that same not I really didn't care for all the bed hopping in the beginning. It was just too much going on. I loved Hector because he felt like the big brother that even one loves. Overall I would recommend this book to others. It has a little bit of everything. There is suspense, intrigue, love and a good bit of twists and turns thrown in. I have to read the next book in this series due to the cliffhanger ending.

Goodreads Summary:
Six delish YA supernatural romance short stories with a cocoa twist.
My Review:
As a die hard chocolate lover this book was to die for. The cover of this book was so sinfully beautiful and gorgeous. One look at the cover had my mouth watering. This book is an anthology with supernatural elements tied together by chocolate. I loved all the stories in this book. They were all uniquely different and great reads for different reasons. The tie in of chocolate as the common factor between all the books was a welcome surprise. For fellow chocolate lovers there were many lovely deliacies to drool over in these stories. The writers all used such vivid descriptions that had me visualizing and imagining them all in front of me. Overall if you like paranormal elements, mystery, suspense and of course chocolate this is a must read for you.

The Creature Kid Blog Tour

Creature Kid Volume 1: The Teenage Chronicles by Rashad FreemanMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Published:January 1st,2012
Source:Received a review copy for the blog Tour
About The Book:
Why do the movies always portray mutants as having some kind of glorious plight? If a kid got bit by a radioactive spider he’d probably puke webs right before he died. Men that can walk through bullets and fly don’t dress in tights and pretend to be newspaper reporters. And there are no special flashlights to shine in the air to signal you when there’s trouble. You want to be a superhero and fight crime? Prospects are unlikely at best. Chances are you’d just get sued by the criminals you arrested and put in prison for delivering your own vigilante justice.
The truth of the matter is living as a mutant is risky business. Uncontrollable outbreaks, delusions of grandeur and don’t forget the horde of scientists eager to pick you apart to figure out what makes you tick. Did you really expect a special school to crop up just to take care of all the misfortunate adolescents? Or you could create your own little team by adding Fantastic, Super, or Glorious to the front of a number. No, you wouldn’t be so lucky. And neither was Anthony Dimair, as a matter of fact he was the exact opposite. Now he must survive long enough to find the meaning of his Uncle’s cryptic message while avoiding capture, fighting the elements, and trying to not end up as dinner.
My Review
What a lovely premise for a book. I loved this book. Anthony is a normal boy with some special abilities. I liked that this book shows what happens when someone develops new powers. We get to see him adjusting to trying to learn how to use his powers and it not being as easy as it is always made to look. Anthony has a great group of friends that support him and are willinging to help him. This is a great book for kids that are having starting high school fears as this touches on that too. Anthony has to contend with starting high school and his new abilities. This book has it all suspense, intrigue and humor. Overall this is a really good read and I would certainly recommend it to others.

The Prophet Book Tour
Welcome to my stop on tour.I had the pleasure of have KJ Dalen do a guest post for me today. See it below.
About the Author
Kim lives in a small town (population495) in Wisconsin. From her deck she can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. She lives with her husband Dave and dog Sammy. Her two children are grown and two grandchildren and for that fact she feels blessed. She loves to watch people and that has helped her with her writing. She loves to create characters and put them in a troubling situation and just sit back and let them do all the work. They surprise even her at times. They take on a life of their own and the twists and turns become a story. She found she liked mystery/thrillers the best. She likes to keep her readers guessing until the very end of the book.
I asked KJ to make a post about what inspired her to write The Prophet why she likes to write in this genre.
I wrote this book on a phrase- “Has he asked you to convert yet?” I remember riding in my car in the city of La Crosse when I thought about that phrase. When I got home I grabbed a pen and a tablet and began outlining the book around that phrase. I placed the first part of the book to take place in La Crosse, WI. I grew up in La Crosse and some of the places in the book are very dear to me as well as the characters. I try to remember the rule about write what you know, so most of my books are written in either La Cross or small Wisconsin towns. When I finished the first draft it ended at the fire but that wasn’t quite long enough so I added the rest of the book. When I was finished the entire book seemed complete. Then I took it to the next level and planned two more books to finish off the trilogy. Those I am working on presently. The second book will be titled, The Convenant and it will pick up where the Prophet left off. The third book will be titled Reborn and it will finish the story of the New Brotherhood.
I love writing suspense. To me the characters I create become very real as they deal with whatever scenario I happen to put them in. At some point in the book they take over and find their own way out. Whatever happens is up to them and so far they haven’t let me down yet. I may have the outline but they often take it off in a different direction than I had planned. I tried to write Romance but couldn’t quite get there as far as I would have liked but suspense is a whole other dimension for me. I like all the twists and turns and I love to bring them into the story for my readers. My readers don’t quite know what to expect and that suits me just fine. I like to take my readers on an adventure when they open a book and then I bring them back again.

Angel Evolution
Angel Evolution by David EstesMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Publisher:Smashwords
Published: October 17,2011
Source: Review copy from Author via Goodreads Shut up and Reap Group
Its been a long time since I have read a book so quickly. This book grabbed a hold of me and didn't let go. I hated that it ended and have to get the next book asap. I love stories involving angels and this one was no exception. It was refreshing to have a new take on the angels versus demon story. I loved that it was hard to know who the good guys were. The way the story was written out you could be on either side because both sides had valid points. I loved the character of Taylor. Taylor is the type of girl I like to see in books because she isn't afraid to be herself. She is ok with who she is as a person. I can say there was a period where I wasn't happy with her just listening to anything Gabriel spoon fed her. Gabriel wasn't a character I liked at first but I fell in love with him after I realized his love for Taylor. I understood the flaws he had and it made me understand him more. He is just conflicted but in the end understood what he needed to do. Chris and Sam were also good characters. Sam is the typical best friend to a character like Taylor. I loved Chris from the start and he was such a different take on a demon. Overall this was a great book and I can't wait to read the others.

Hide and Seek Review
Hide & Seek by Aimee LaineMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Publisher: J Taylor Publishing
Book Release Date: March 1,2012
Recommended Age: Adult
Goodreads Summary:
Lie, cheat or steal, no one can catch Tripp Fox. Except one woman.
Lexi Shepherd’s knack for finding whatever is asked of her isn’t sheer luck. It’s a gift from the Greek god Zeus.
That Lexi doesn’t use her ability to search for “Mr. Right” comes from one of many personal rules she has set for herself. Number one is not to let fate dictate her future.
Falling in love with Tripp breaks all the others.
Despite her principles, Lexi’s unable to stay away from the bad boy, and she finds herself toeing the grey line of the law for him.
Zeus, though, didn’t give Lexi and Tripp their talents to make their relationship a simple, easy alliance. He designed it to be exactly the opposite. Impossible. Always.
With their separation, Lexi expects Tripp to forfeit love in favor of destiny. He, on the other hand, intends to beat Zeus at his own game. With a plan in place, Tripp challenges Lexi to take the one action no one else can.
Find him.
The question isn’t can she ... but will she?
My Review
I received this book an an ARC from J Taylor Publishing, I love mythology themed books and this one didn't disappoint. Lexi and Tripp are a force to be reckoned with. They have all the makings of a powerful couple. Aimee Laine crafts a spellbinding story with romance, suspense, and intrigue all mixed in. Lexi is such a headstrong herione with an amazing gift but stuggles with her inner conflicts. Tripp is an amazing leading man with all the right qualities. When you put them together you are in for a treat. This book has a few twists and turns I didn't see coming and will throw readers for a loop. I loveed watching their love story unfold and the fairy tale ending was to die for. It was the perfect way to wrap up the book and showcase their love. Overall if you want a nice romantic love story with two headstrong characters this book is for you.
Thanks again to J Taylor Publishing.

Dearly Departed Review
Dearly, Departed by Lia HabelMy rating: 4 of 5
Published: October 18,2011
Publisher: Ballantine/Del Ray/Random House
Source: Publisher via Netgalley
Age Rating: I would rate this for Teen and Young Adult Readers
Goodreads Summary:
Love can never die.
Love conquers all, so they say. But can Cupid’s arrow pierce the hearts of the living and the dead—or rather, the undead? Can a proper young Victorian lady find true love in the arms of a dashing zombie?
The year is 2195. The place is New Victoria—a high-tech nation modeled on the manners, mores, and fashions of an antique era. A teenager in high society, Nora Dearly is far more interested in military history and her country’s political unrest than in tea parties and debutante balls. But after her beloved parents die, Nora is left at the mercy of her domineering aunt, a social-climbing spendthrift who has squandered the family fortune and now plans to marry her niece off for money. For Nora, no fate could be more horrible—until she’s nearly kidnapped by an army of walking corpses.
But fate is just getting started with Nora. Catapulted from her world of drawing-room civility, she’s suddenly gunning down ravenous zombies alongside mysterious black-clad commandos and confronting “The Laz,” a fatal virus that raises the dead—and hell along with them. Hardly ideal circumstances. Then Nora meets Bram Griswold, a young soldier who is brave, handsome, noble . . . and dead. But as is the case with the rest of his special undead unit, luck and modern science have enabled Bram to hold on to his mind, his manners, and his body parts. And when his bond of trust with Nora turns to tenderness, there’s no turning back. Eventually, they know, the disease will win, separating the star-crossed lovers forever. But until then, beating or not, their hearts will have what they desire.
In Dearly, Departed, romance meets walking-dead thriller, spawning a madly imaginative novel of rip-roaring adventure, spine-tingling suspense, and macabre comedy that forever redefines the concept of undying love.
My Review
This book was a great read. It was such a great mix of steampunk with a modern Victorian mix all in one. I loved the old technology mixed with the new updates to it. It was amazing to me the way the author was able to bring the Victorian era into the modern world. This was defintely a new take on a zombie read. Eventhough the primary focus of the book was the zombie aspect I couldn't help but love all the extras you got like the relationships between Nora & Bram and the fierce friendship of Pam & Nora. I think the relationship between Nora and Bram was so great because it showed how differences are ok and able to be overcome if you are willinging to try. I loved that Nora was such a good true friend to Pam and it made her stronger because of it. Pam really came into her own as the story went on. I read this book thinking about how much the world could change but people really can adapt to change and become more comfortable with it. I would love to read the next book in this series and encourage other readers to do so. This book has it all love, suspense, complex relationships and it makes you want to know what happens next.

Summary:
Left by her mother at a young age, Kyra has grown-up in the foster system, leaving her angry and hateful towards the world. The only person she can trust is Hammond, her case worker who has watched over her since the time her mother left. When Hammond places Kyra in a foster home located in a small town, strange things begin happening and Kyra starts unraveling the mystery of her past. When Kyra’s life is threatened, she is saved by an angel, her guardian angel, Ashur, who falls from heaven to save her. Together, Ashur and Kyra must figure out why her life is in danger and stop a strange cult from bringing about the end of days.
Excerpt:
"I didn’t just fall from heaven to save your life…” Ashur pulls me in closer until my chest touches his. “…I came here because after all those years, I could not spend another moment of eternity knowing that you would not be there.”
He begins to sweep his head down toward mine. I know what’s coming and I can’t allow it. Turning away, I say, “I can’t.” My objection is not that I don’t love him, but that I can’t love him. He is an angel, I am a mortal. Two worlds that never have, and never will exist together. “You know as well as I do that this can never be. No matter how desperately we may want it. What will become of us?”
“I don’t know,” he says. “I don’t care.”
“Well, I do,” I say. “All this will end and you will have to go back. And I will be left here alone.”
“But…”
“No,” I say, sternly. “It’s better this way.”
Our eyes meet and I look away, but his eyes do not retreat as if they are holding me in place, preventing me from leaving.
