I had the pleasure to interview Annalise Grey the author of Howl. It was so much fun interviewing her and she was nice enough to do a giveaway of 5 ebooks of Howl also. Howl was an awesome book and a must read for wolf lovers.
See my review here
Above is a picture of Annalise and here is a little bio on her:Pennsylvania native, dreamer, explorer. I write because I like talking to the voices in my head. They are (usually) good company. I love to travel (when I have the $ for it). My family is everything to me.
Here's our interview. I loved doing this interview as I loved this book and can't wait for the second book.
What made you want to become an author?
My parents are both writers - historical non-fiction - and I've been writing poetry and short stories since I was a kid. About two years ago I started Howl as a short story. It was to be a birthday present for my oldest sister but before I knew what happened it became more like a novella and then morphed into what I have today. That experience is really what re-ignited my writing.
I loved the character of Sophie. Was she inspired by anyone?
She wasn't inspired by any one person per se. When I was writing her I kept going back to who I was at 19. I thought I knew so much, I could take care of my own, I wanted my freedom. But I was so young and naive in many ways. I made stupid decisions, messed up, and had to learn from my mistakes. I love that Sophie does that, too. She isn't perfect and she is very sheltered in a way. But as her story goes on she grows and has to learn to accept her self and actions.
What was the hardest part of this story for you to write?
The hardest part for me was the rewrites/edits. The initial draft was much easier because I just wanted to get the story laid out. But the editing and rewriting was so hard because I knew where I wanted it to go but to get it polished meant reading as if I were brand new to the story. It is hard to look at your own work as a new reader would. That was difficult!
What are you reading right now?
I'm about to start The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society for a book group I belong to on Goodreads. I just finished The Matchmaker's Mark by Regan Black which I loved.
What are your favorite genres to read?
Young Adult Paranormal Romance, Fantasy, some Science Fiction, Historical.... I have too many favorites!
What made you want to write in this genre?
This is probably the one I read the most and the one I feel the most comfortable writing. I wish I were more tech-creative because I'd love to write Science Fiction but I'm just not able to. :(
Ok you know my next question but I loved this book so much and the character of Sophie when will we get book 2?
You made my whole week with this question!!! I'm working on two books right now - a sequel to Howl and another YA Paranormal book - while also going to grad school. I'm hoping to have both books finished by the end of summer. As long as my school work isn't too time-intensive, I should be good to go.
I hope you loved this interview and don't forget to enter the giveway to get a copy of Howl a must read. Seriously you will love this book. Thanks again to Annalise for stopping by for me to interview her.

Firelight Review
Firelight
Author: Kristin Callihan
Publisher: Grand Central Publishing
Pages:384
Source:ARC from Publisher via Netgalley
Goodreads Summary:
London, 1881
Once the flames are ignited . . .
Miranda Ellis is a woman tormented. Plagued since birth by a strange and powerful gift, she has spent her entire life struggling to control her exceptional abilities. Yet one innocent but irreversible mistake has left her family's fortune decimated and forced her to wed London's most nefarious nobleman.
They will burn for eternity . . .
Lord Benjamin Archer is no ordinary man. Doomed to hide his disfigured face behind masks, Archer knows it's selfish to take Miranda as his bride. Yet he can't help being drawn to the flame-haired beauty whose touch sparks a passion he hasn't felt in a lifetime. When Archer is accused of a series of gruesome murders, he gives in to the beastly nature he has fought so hard to hide from the world. But the curse that haunts him cannot be denied. Now, to save his soul, Miranda will enter a world of dark magic and darker intrigue. For only she can see the man hiding behind the mask.
Ok I have to say this is not a normal genre for me to read but Im so glad I got this book because I loved it. It had the right amount of twists and turns to keep me tuned in. Miranda is a great heroine. I loved that she stood up for what she felt was right and had a take charge attitude. I love the fact that in a time when women weren't really standing up for themselves she did so. She lets it be known that she can handle things on her own. I think it shows the amount of strength she has that she was willinging to marry Archer without knowing much about him. She was willing to take a risk on the unknown and boy did it pay off. We get to meet Archer who is the right mix of perfect gentleman and mysterious badboy. He was such a multi-layered character that I loved. The readers have no clue what to expect from him and he keeps them guessing throughout the book. This book was fast paced and kept you guessing throughout. As the story unfolded and Miranda and Archer's relationship developed more I couldn't put the book down. They had the right mix of playfulness, sweetness and love in their relationship. The big mystery throughout the book didn't disappoint me either. Readers will be taken on a very enjoyable ride with this book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series to see how the story continues.

Howl Review
Howl by Annalise GreySource: Review Book from Author and Making Connections Group
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Ok let me start off by saying the dress on the front of this book is amazing. It is just so girly and pretty. I love it and the coverart alone made me want to read this story. I have to say from start to finish I was in love with this book. Sophie is a character to fall in love with.I love her strength and willingness to put herself out there for love. The author did such a good job with creating such a well rounded character that you love for all her good qualities and flaws. Annalise did such a good job with her vivid descriptions that I felt as if Sophie was right in front of me. It was nice to be able to distinguish the wolf part of Sophie and the normal girl part of her. It was nice seeing the struggle Sophie goes through trying to keep them both seperate.I loved Jaime and Sophie as a couple. They have that kind of unbreakable love that is rare to see if young adult books. It doesn't feel rushed or like its moving to quickly. They really felt as they were made for each other. I loved that they are trying to make their relationship work even with the odds stacked aganist them. I found myself on an emotional roller coaster that I didn't want to get off of. I cried in some parts of as I felt so sad for Sophie and there were some parts where I was so happy to see her show her strengths. I can't wait to see where the next book in the series takes us.
Thanks to the Making Connections Group and Annalise Grey for this review chance.
Stay Tuned for my author interview with Annalise Grey on Tuesday 1/31. There will also be a giveaway for 5 ebooks of Howl. You don't want to miss this.

A Demon Made Me Do It by Penelope KingMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
What a unique concept. I know there are plenty books out there that talk about demons and even demon possession but I don't know many that show both sides. That is what this book is about we get to learn about Liora who is human and half demon. Her demon side is named Lucky and she is such a fireball. I loved this book. because of its uniqueness. In reading this book you get to see both sides of their stories and feel so bad for them. They dont get to live their lives the way they want too because the other one has to take over. I loved both characters for different reasons. Liora is so sweet and innocent that you can't help but to love her. She has such a girl next door quality about that is so appealing. Lucky is awesome because I love her snarkiness and her kick ass attitude. You can see her softside is in there too no matter how much she tries to hide it. I loved Kieron too he is the perfect match for them because he is willing to accept the girls for what they are. He seems to geniuely love them both equally even though they are so different. I cant wait for both two to see what happens next. Overall this was a great read and I would highly recommend it to others.

Amaranth Review
Amaranth by Rachael WadeMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Source:Review Copy
Again another amazing cover. The cover art is always an eyecatcher for me. This book took me on a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. I loved Camille she has the makings of a good heroine. I loved that she has no problems realizing a bad situation and moving on from it. Its refreshing to have heroines that stand up for themselves and aren't so codependent. I loved having Louisana as the backdrop for this story as it is such a place of mystery and intrigue. I could imagine vampires being able to blend in well here. Amaranth sounds like such a beautiful place too eventhough the evil lurks there. The author was so descriptive with her writing that I was imagining in my head with the wonderful colors and graphics. The character of Gavin needs to grow on me a little though. I didnt like that he hid so muchof himself until he had no choice but to tell Camille. I do like his love and loyalty to Camille, his friends and the memory of his parents. I am looking forward to book 2 in this series.
Thanks to the ladies at Shut Up & Read Group for this review.

Half Black Soul Blog Tour
Welcometo my stop on the Half Black Soul Blog Tour. I will be doing a review of the book and there will also be a post from Nelly.
My Review
This book was recommended to me by a few of my Goodreads friends. It was a highly anticipated read for me and I was not disappointed. This book in one word was amazing. I officially have a new kick ass herione and her name is Alexa. She is a great character that can be summed up as fierce, loyal, and protective. I love her take no prisoners attitude and how she loves her sister. I have this type of bond with my sister and its so great to have. Their is such a loyalty and love there that nobody can get in the way of. I have to say the two love interests in this book make it so hard to pick one. I love them both for different reasons. Jackson and Kayden are complete opposites but both are special in their own way.Jackson has that boy next door charm that makes you feel so comfortable and safe with him. There is something to be said for a guy with a Southern drawl. Kayden on the other hand has more of that mysterious aloofness that comes across. He is such a hottie too. I love that they both love Alexa in completely different ways. I have to say I am officially Team Jackson though as I am still getting to know Kayden. I cant wait until Half Black Soul comes out on January 31st. I need to see how the rest of the story continues.
Nelly's Character Post
I slumped down a little in my seat, even though I don’t make a habit of slouching. I couldn’t help it. I was not in the least bit happy at the moment, and I didn’t want to pretend to be. If I wasn’t currently in a classroom surrounded by my peers, I would probably have my thumb stuck in my mouth like a baby. I only sucked my thumb in times of horrible stress, and this certainly qualified as that. Alexa was gone. Just gone. I was sure that as soon as classes let out, and I had time to myself to think, I was going to be crying my eyes out, like I had earlier this morning. Right now, it seemed as though the day was crying for me.
I stared out of the classroom window, watching the rain fall and fall. I was almost glad that the day wasn’t bright and sunny. For one, it matched my mood. For two, my sister hates traveling in the rain, so I kept hoping that maybe she’d be back soon, having changed her mind about whatever had made her leave in the first place.
Yes, this was absolutely a horrible, awful, thumb-sucking day.
To add to that, the thing that had happened earlier with the letter was still freaking me out. When I’d seen Jackson standing in the spot where Alexa and I usually meet up in the morning before school, I knew immediately that something was wrong. I suppose it is one of my “abilities”, but the true feelings of others are never lost to me.
I’m what is called a Searcher, a blood-drinker that has the ability to literally “Search souls”. But my blood is not pure. I am half of another race; I’m half Lamia, which is the reason I can do things other Searchers aren’t able to do. Things that no one should be able to do. Things I don’t always have control of.
The unrest in Jackson’s soul was so thick when I’d seen him this morning that to me it seemed almost palpable. It was so different from the positive, sunny soul I so often glimpsed in him that I couldn’t stop my mind from reaching out. So, from fifty yards away, I’d Searched him. I hadn’t meant to, it just happened. I’d pulled it back as soon as I could manage, but from Jackson’s head I’d known that he had a letter for me; a letter from my sister. And it didn’t hold good news.
When I’d reached him, I could tell that Jackson had no idea of what I’d done. He hadn’t felt my Search; a Search that no one should have been able to accomplish at such a distance. It seemed to me that my abilities were growing stronger and more unpredictable by the day. And what happened next with the letter was further proof of this.
I’d said, “Hey, Jackson.”
He’d smiled that charming smile of his, but I could tell upset hid behind it. There was something else too, a different feeling that I decided not to dig into. Whatever was going on in Jackson’s head was none of my business. And, I’d already invaded his privacy a little by accident.
“Hey, Nelly,” he’d replied.
Then Jackson pulled a piece of paper out of his flannel shirt pocket and handed it to me. I still haven’t opened the letter, I haven’t had to. At the moment, it was sitting in the side pocket of my backpack. I was kind of afraid to touch it again.
When the note from my sister had passed from Jackson’s hand to mine, something that has never happened to me before happened. Something that I had never even known was possible.
I’d Searched the letter.
One moment I had been standing in the center square of the school’s dormitories with Jackson, and the next I was somewhere else completely. It was like I’d been sucked into a mental black hole, my mind ripping out of my skull in the present and being deposited in some other time.
I’d recognized the room immediately. The bed was unmade, the trash bin overflowing, and there were absolutely no “feminine touches” to speak of. I was standing in Alexa’s dorm room.
I couldn’t see Alexa, however, and very sparse light was coming in through the windows. I noticed all of this through peripheral vision, though, because I’d also found that I had no control over my movements. And when I’d looked down at the small, scarred hand that was hastily scribbling on a sheet of paper, I saw that that didn’t belong to me either.
No, the bruised knuckles and unpolished, chewed fingernails weren’t mine. They were Alexa’s. I’d watched as the words were scribbled hastily across the page.
Nell,
Please don’t be pissed, okay? I’m leaving, and no, I can’t tell you where I’m going or why I’m going because I know you would do something stupid and try to follow me. I just need you to trust me, Nell. I know what I’m doing. More importantly, I need you to be careful for me. I know you think I’m just paranoid, but I also know in my gut that things aren’t right at Two Rivers. I’m not sure what kind of danger I’ve just left you in, but you know I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t have a good reason. So, just be careful, okay? Try to act normal about my being gone. Make up a story or something. And, yes, I know you’re pissed, but I also know you’ll do this for me because you are my sister and you love me. And one more thing, be strong, Nell. You don’t know how strong you are, but I do. I know you can take care of yourself because you are strong. I’m not sure what will happen while I’m gone, but do whatever you must to keep yourself safe… and don’t trust anyone unless you know you can trust them. I’ve got to go, but I love you, Nell. I love you more than life itself.
-Alexa
My world had come tumbling down around me as I read the words. Alexa was gone. I was all alone. It had never really occurred to me before how much I depended on her to be there for me; to take care of me. A life without Alexa, even temporarily, was the worst thing I could imagine.
Some part of me had known she couldn’t hear me. I had just been experiencing a flashback; a memory of the moment the letter had been composed. Alexa was already long gone. But at the time, that hadn’t stopped me from trying to scream at her while I’d watched her fold the note and stuff it in her pocket.
It had been a soundless, throat aching scream. And, it ripped me out of the scene and sent me crashing back down to earth. The first thing I’d seen when I had regained my own vision was a blue and black flannel pattern. Jackson.
He had gripped my arms and shaken me frantically. His face was pulled tight with concern. “Nelly? Nelly, what’s going on? Are you okay?” he’d asked.
I had most absolutely not been okay. I still wasn’t okay. For several long moments, I hadn’t been able to find my voice. Tears had come tumbling, hot and wet, down my cheeks, and the rain that was currently falling heavier and heavier outside of the classroom had begun.
“She’s gone,” I’d said, not recognizing the tone of my own voice. It had been all I could manage. Jackson had caught me and held me tight as I’d fallen forward, sobbing into his arms.
And, now, here I sat; listening to some lecture that couldn’t mean less to me at the moment. Watching the rain fall, wondering where the heck my sister was. And hoping, praying, that she wasn’t getting herself into some kind of horrible trouble.
Problem was, this was Alexa we were talking about here.
I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did. I really can't wait to learn more about Nelly. I feel like January 31st isn't getting here fast enough.

The New Death and Others Author Interview and Book Giveaway
I had the pleasure of interviewing James Hutchings and reviewing his book. James was nice enough to agree to a give away for 3 of his ebooks of The New Death. Please see below for my interview and to enter the giveaway.
1) When did you know you wanted to be an author?
I think I've wanted to do something creative since I was a teenager. But I've tried several different things, such as music and filmmaking, before I finally settled on writing. To be honest, if it turned out that I was actually better at, say, painting than writing, I think I'd be happy to change. So in a sense I still don't know.
2) What inspired you to write this book?
Some ideas just pop into my head, without me knowing where the idea comes from. An example of that is a recent poem I wrote, called 'Angel
Square', about a square where angels take the place of pigeons. Other
ideas come from experiences in my life. For example a while ago I found
three injured birds in the space of a few weeks. I took all of them to the
local vet. As I was carrying one of them, I thought that the woman at
reception might wonder where I was finding all these injured birds, and
that was the inspiration for my story 'Lost, Feral or Stray'.
I've written a lot about cats, based on having been a cat owner. But
I'm a lot more cynical about them than some cat-lovers. One reviewer
said he couldn't work out whether I loved cats or hated them.
Of course other fiction is a big inspiration. In some cases it's
obvious. I've done poems directly based on stories by HP Lovecraft and
other writers for example. In other cases it's more subtle: for example
the city of Teleleli or Telelee is partly based on Fritz Leiber's
Lankhmar, partly on Terry Pratchett's Ankh-Morpork, and partly on Port
Blacksand in the Fighting Fantasy series. the dialogue in Lord of the Rings had a big influence on how my characters talk.
3) My favorite story was The End what short story or poem was your favorite to write?
Probably The God of the Poor. I enjoy writing the shorter pieces more,
because you get the satisfaction of having finished more quickly.
4) What can we look forward to from you next?
The main thing I'm working on right now is a poem set in the old West,
called Confession of a Bounty Hunter.
I've been encouraged to write a novel set in the fantasy city of
Telelee, which is the setting of a few of the stories in 'The New Death
and others'. I have a lot of background for this world, because I blog
every day ([LINK: http://www.apolitical.info/teleleli)]
http://www.apolitical.info/teleleli) and most of it is setting detail. I
also have a half-finished novel called 'All-American Detectives',
which is a combination of a detective story and a story about superheroes, which I'll probably come back to in the future.
5) What would you like to tell your readers?
I don't know if I have a 'message'. I certainly have opinions,
and those opinions most likely come out in my writing. But In the end
I'm out to entertain people, whether that be making someone laugh with
a pun that's so dumb it's funny, or making you sad that a character
died.
6) What are you reading right now?
I'm actually not reading anything. I read short stories much more than
novels, and usually online rather than in books, so I'm seldom in the
middle of reading a story.
7) Who is your favorite author?
I don't know if they're my only favourites, but these are the
authors that have most influenced me: JRR Tolkien and Jack Vance for the
elaborate dialogue. Robert E Howard for the general atmosphere. Terry
Pratchett for the humour. and Lord Dunsany for the use of Fame, Time and so on as characters.
8) What is your favorite book genre?
I read fantasy and science fiction almost exclusively.

and others'.

Masquerade
Masquerade by Cambria HebertMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Let me start off by saying the cover to this booki is so beautiful. As everyone knows I'm a sucker for a pretty cover. Well I am pleased to announce this book lived us to everything I expected it to be. It didn't dissapoint at all. It had everything I love in a book romance and suspense all at a fast moving pace. I hated to put this book down. I loved the character of Heven and Sam is amazing. I have to admit I didn't care for Heven in the beginning because she was so stuck on whining and mopping and not learning to deal with the new her. I feel in love with her once she started to come into her own and embrace her new self. I love that her falling in love with Sam begin to make her see herself in a new light and accept herself. This made my love Sam that he loved her as she was even with the baggage. He is willing to do any and eveything to keep her safe. This book had many twists and turns that I didn't see coming and I can't wait for the next book. I am glad to have another new author to add to my list as one that is going places.
A special thanks to the Goodreads PNR & UFF group and Cambria Hebert for allowing me to review this one.

The New Death and Others
The New Death and others by James HutchingsMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
The New Death and others was a different type of read for me as it is a collection of short stories and poems. This book was brillant and has a little of everything with me loving the mythology and fantasy stories the best. The author has a wonderful sense of humor that came across time and time again in the stories. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the stories. I would have to say this book sucked me in and didnt let go until the end. I would highly recommend it to others. This was a cute book and I give kudos to the author for being able to switch to different directions like he did. I look forward to reading other books by this author.
Thanks to James Hutchings for letting me review this for him.

Break Away
Break Away by Tatiana VilaMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
I got sucked into this story very quickly.Dafne was such a loveable character. I loved all her snark and quick wit.Its always nice to see a character that is not afraid to be themselves no matter if it makes them well liked or not. Dafne is such a positve character because she plays by her own rules. She alone made me want to continue reading this story. I loved the fierce protectiveness she had for her family. This story was well written with such vivid descriptions that made me really visualize it all in my mind. I loved the interaction between Dafne and Ian and cant wait to see what happens with them next and the changes that am sure will come into play with Dafne and Buffy now. I have to say I had a lot of unanswered questions that I am hoping are cleared up the next book. Overall this was a cute book and I would love to read the next one.

Thanks PNR & UF Fanatics for this read to review and Tatiana Vila for giving me the chance to read this book.

Waiting on Wednesday
Waiting on Wednesday is hosted every week by Jill at http://breakingthespine.blogspot.com/. It is a chance to spotlight upcoming releases we are waiting on.
This week I am waiting on Hallowed. I loved the first book in this series so much and didnt want it to end. I cant wait to read the second in this series to see what is going on with Clara. This book is out January 17th and I have already preordered it and cant wait until it is on my Nook.
Heres a summary from Goodreads:
For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought. Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

Hotblood by Juliann WhickerMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I loved this book once I got into it. The beginning was a little slow for me until we got to know more about Dari. I loved learning about all the different people with the Wilds,Cools,Hotbloods and even liked the Nether creature. I have to say I didnt really start caring about Dari until she further into the book. I loved the dynamics of her and Lewis and it was a nice twist to his backstory. I even loved the character of Satan because under all that gruffiness he really was a softy when it came to Dari. I didnt like that outside of the summer visit with her dad we didn't get anymore interaction from him. It would have been nice to have more storytime with them since she was apart from him for so long.I really need book two soon to see how this ends. Overall this was a great book and the start of another new series for me.
Thanks ladies at PNR &Fantasty Fanatics and Juliann Whicker for giving me the chance to review this.

New Releases
First off I want say Happy New Year to all of you.
I have tons of books that I am looking forward to for 2012. I will have a post every month with my top 5 books that are being released. Here is my January list.
1.Hallowed (Book 2 in Unearthly series)
Expected January 1/17/12
From Goodreads:
2. Bloodrose (Book 3 in Nightshade series)
Expected 1/3/12
From Goodreads:
Calla has always welcomed war. But now that the final battle is upon her, there’s more at stake than fighting. There’s saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay’s wrath. There’s keeping Ansel safe, even if he’s been branded a traitor. There’s proving herself as the pack’s alpha, facing unnamable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers’ magic once and for all. And then there’s deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is.
3. Fallen in Love
Expected 1/24/12
From Goodreads:
What makes your heart race a little faster? Just in time for Valentine's Day, it's FALLEN IN LOVE, four wholly original new stories collected in a new novel set in the Middle Ages by Lauren Kate. FALLEN IN LOVE gives fans the much-talked about but never-revealed stories of FALLEN characters as they intertwine with the epic love story of Luce and Daniel. The stories include: Love Where You Least Expect It: The Valentine of Shelby and Miles , Love Lessons: The Valentine of Roland; Burning Love: The Valentine of Arriane; and Endless Love: The Valentine of Daniel and Lucinda.
4. Pretty Little Secrets
Expected 1/3/12
From Goodreads:
Rewind to junior year in Rosewood, Pennsylvania, to a winter break no one has ever heard about. . . .
Fat snowflakes fall onto manicured lawns, quilted stockings hang over marble fireplaces, and everyone is at peace, especially Hanna, Emily, Aria, and Spencer. Now that Alison’s murderer is in jail and A is dead, they can finally relax. Little do they know there’s a new A in town. . . .
Rule number one of being an effective stalker: Get to know your prey. So I watch these liars day and night, keeping an eye on the trouble they get into, the messes they make, and the secrets they keep. Hanna’s desperate for a very personal session with her gym trainer. Emily is number one on Santa’s naughty list. Aria’s old flame from Iceland is about to land her in hot water. And Spencer’s resorting to some backhanded tactics to get what she wants.
What happens on holiday break stays on holiday break—right? But guess what. I saw. And now I’m telling.
Taking place between "Unbelievable" and "Wicked," "Pretty Little Secrets" is a very special "Pretty Little Liars" tale revealing the liars’ never-before-seen misadventures over their junior-year winter break.
5. Everneath
Expected 1/24
From Goodreads:
Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath, where immortals Feed on the emotions of despairing humans. Now she's returned- to her old life, her family, her friends- before being banished back to the underworld... this time forever.
She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can't find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.
Nikki longs to spend these months reconnecting with her boyfriend, Jack, the one person she loves more than anything. But there's a problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who first enticed her to the Everneath, has followed Nikki to the mortal world. And he'll do whatever it takes to bring her back- this time as his queen.
As Nikki's time grows short and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she's forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole's.
