Goodreads Summary:

Mellow Summers just wanted to go to college and get her film degree. She moved into a furnished apartment with her friend Jackie only to find that it already had a tenant: the ghost of a girl who was murdered a year earlier. Now it is up to Mellow to not only discover who the murderer is, but to prove it as well.

With the help of the ghost Rachel, Mellow sets out to solve the year old mystery. She soon finds out that she may have taken on more than she can handle. Pursued by someone who wants the identity of the killer to remain a secret, Mellow will have to use all her resources to outwit him and help the spirit of Rachel move on.

My Review

I love mystery stories and this one was a nice twist with paranomal elements. The author did a great job with this story. In this book we meet Mellow who is just another college student. She soon learns that with moving into her new apartment she gets to much more. Mellow learns the ghost of the girl that used to live in her apartment is still there.

Mellow and Rachel get along pretty well to say one of is human and the other one a ghost. Rachel asks Mellow to help her find out who killed her. What ensues is an adventure full of comedic hijinks. I liked that Mellow was an average girl and didn't take herself too seriously. She is like the cool friend you love to have around.

As Mellow and Rachel continue to put the pieces together it takes Mellow to different places. I liked that she was willingly to get out of her comfort zone. It made for some pretty laugh of loud moments. There were some situations I caught myself just chuckling out loud. The author did a great job with those scenes.

I overall thought this was a great read. It was a fun liht hearted mystery read. I found myself rooting for Mellow to come out on top. I liked Rachel's character too. She really proved that sometimes you have to be not so nice. I recommend this to readers that want a nice fun read. It will keep you entertained from beginning to end.
