Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.
When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

And now the amazing interview:
Sebastian York has agreed to sit and answer some fun “Favorite” and “Would You Rather” questions for us! I haven’t been able to get him to do an interview yet, so this is very exciting for me!
Let’s begin go before he changes his mind!
Favorite…
…color? Black. Sometimes grey and white. I’m a shade guy, I guess.
…time of day? Night.
...food? I don’t eat much.
A: Maybe you should try to throw in some actual answers?
…TV show? I don’t watch TV.
A: *clears throat*
S: Fine. Sorry. I’ll try. If I had to choose a TV show, I guess, “Supernatural”. It’s a story about brothers who fight of evil. Although, they talk about their feelings way too much for my liking.
A: Much better!
…season? Winter.
...animal? Dogs. They’re very loyal. Or perhaps horses; my family used to own many.
…place you’ve visited? Himalayas.
…book? “The Iliad”.
…sport? Snowboarding. I don’t get to do much of that in Angel Creek.
…body part on a girl? …
A: Come on now. The ladies are waiting.
S: *glares* Eyes and neck.
…hobby? Working on my car.
A: Really? You’re gonna go all cliché on me now?
S: Fine. Photography.
A: Really?
S: Yes. I like photography. Can we move on now?
(Hmm…I didn’t know about this one. But…I like.)
…fruit? I don’t know…Apple? Or is that too cliché for you? Would you prefer something more exotic?
A: Someone’s getting a little cranky.
S: You’re making me talk about my feelings.
A: Discussing your favorite fruit is hardly feeling-related.
(Okay, guys…I can’t get too mad at Sebastian…He’s cute even when he’s all grouchy and growly.)
…date? …
A: Oh come on! Just one feeling-related question! Pretty please…?
S: I suppose, I haven’t had any dates that stand out in my mind. However, I really liked the short time I spent with Dawn at the Scarlet House Ball. You could hardly call that a date, though. I’d like to take her somewhere special—just the two of us—but during a less of a life-or-death situation.
A: Aww…See that wasn’t so hard! I’ll let you off the hook now.
S: *victory smile*
A: Oh, wait! We have a few “Would You Rather” questions for you.
S: *glare*
(He can glare at me with those silver eyes all he wants. I don’t mind! Right, Shieka?)
Would You Rather…
...skip Christmas for a year, or skip your birthday for a year? I’ve been skipping both for the past century.
...live under water and swim with the fish or be able to travel through space and touch the stars? Touch the stars.
...save a damsel in distress or fight next to a strong chick? I’m not big on damsels in distress.
...be invisible or be able to read minds? I wouldn’t mind being able to read Dawn’s mind.
...swim in a pool filled with Kool-Aid or go ice skating on a lake of frozen lemonade? I used to take my little sister ice skating in the wintertime. I’d give anything to be able to do that again…
...be bitten by a radioactive spider or a vampire? Funny.
…be a tree or live in a tree? Live in one. That way, I’d have the option of moving.
…have a firecracker blow up in your mouth, or drill a small hole in your own forehead? I don’t know. I’ve never given it much thought.
…have every single tooth extracted, or every fingernail ripped off? Was this part of the questionnaire written by a serial killer?
…go on an adventurous trip or veg out at a tropical resort? Adventurous trip.
...get locked inside an amusement park with a celebrity or your girlfriend? I know I may not seem like the type, but I’d actually enjoy spending the day at an amusement park with Dawn. Especially if we happened to be locked in.
...have a hot one-time hookup or a boring long-term relationship? If you’re with someone you really care about, I think you can have a hot long-term relationship.
...get married to the love of your life or be the richest person in the world? Money doesn’t buy happiness. Love, on the other hand, defines it.
A: Thank you Sebastian! You’ve officially completed your first interview!
S: I hope you don’t think that this will be a regular occurrence.
A: *sly smile* We’ll see…
My Review:
If you think that this is just another vampire story you are sadly mistaken. This book was so much more. It had all you could want in a book and then some. We start out this book by meeting Dawn who is in the middle of training. We learn she is a vampire and about to be sent on a mission. We learn that she is a Born vampire which makes her special than an average vampire.
I love the way this book showed vampires out in the open and living normal lives. It was a different well deserved take on vampires than the average. We got to see the more human side to then with Dawn being no exception. As the book progresses we learn that Dawn will be heading to Angel Creek to train some vampires to be guradians for the humans in town. Angel Creek was described so well and the descriptions were written so vividly. I also loved the history between the town.
Once Dawn arrives in town she meets Ethan and everything changes. Ethan was so dreamy and great I'm not shocked that Dawn was drawn to him. Hannah is a character that was beyond words in a good way she was so cute you couldn't help but like her. Dawn finally meets the new vampires and to describe them as a group if misfits would be an understatement. It is apparent they will need alot of help to be ready to defend the town.
Dawn settles into trying to get them trained and also meets Sebastian. I have to pause to say I now have a new and his name is Sebastin. Oh where do I begin with him from his good looks to his arrogant demanor with the hidden caring side. Bravo to Ada Adams for creating this complex character. I am officially Team Sebastian.
As the story progressing we learn some startling news about Dawn that I didn't see coming. It was an amaxing twist and I don't think anyone will see it coming. Dawn is thrown for a loop and must decide how to deal with it. Dawn deals with it in her typical fashion and refuses to go down without a fight. This is another reason why I love her. She reacts without thinking first. Dawn and the vampires end up in a battle and prove that they are a force to be reckoned with. I was so glad to see them all prove themselves and learn how to take care of themselves.
Overall I loved this book and didn't want it to end. I have to read the next book in the series and can't wait for it to come out. This book had just what I like in my books romance, battles, friendships and of course a cute love triangle. The author did a great job of bringing everything together and it was written well. The book flowed well and was at a great pace. I highly recommend this to others.
About the Author and Her Links:
"Many people sing in the shower. I, on the other hand, write scenes in my head and act them out."
At age five, Ada read her first chapter book - Pippi Longstocking. Ever since that moment, she developed an intense passion for the stories and characters found within the pages of literature.
In her career as an actress and a writer, Ada currently spends most of her days immersed in imaginary worlds. Much like the characters she enjoys playing and writing about, Ada is a martial artist with a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. She is also a big proponent of lifelong learning, and has attained Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (it aids in creating characters with unique quirks!) as well as a Master's of Science in Education.
Ada strives to bring a fresh voice and perspective to fiction. She has been writing creatively for many years. "ReVamped" is her debut novel.
She lives in Toronto, Canada, and enjoys adventurous nature hikes with her adorable puppies Cara and Oreo.
Don't forget to leave me a comment below for a chance to win a Kindle e-copy of the book.
Thanks again to Ada and Sebastian for the amazing interview and Bewitching Book Tours for the great tour.
